About Travelling to Summer Camp

Getting to our camps

You’re more than welcome to bring your children to camp, but many parents prefer to take advantage of our escorted transport service, saving time and giving your child a head start at making new friends.

All main UK airports are manned by Camp Beaumont staff on Saturdays – they’ll meet your child coming through to arrivals from the customs hall and take them to join other children on our coach to travel to camp. Campers are never left unattended. This gives children a chance to make new friends and start practicing their language skills together before they even get to camp.

Escorted travel from airports

We’ll need your flight details at least two weeks before camp begins. Your child’s flight should arrive between 0700 and 1500 hours local time and leave between 1000 and 1800 hours (with check-in between 0800 and 1600 hours). If you can’t get flights at these times, we can still meet your child but you may have to pay a supplement. Please make sure you label your child’s luggage with Camp Beaumont tags and ask your child to wear their badge on arrival.

What if the flight is delayed?

Just call us between 9am and 6pm. Our Camp Specialists in the office will pass the message on to our field staff and make the necessary arrangements. If there’s a delay on the return flight, we’ll call you – so if you’re going to be on holiday yourself, don’t forget to give us those contact details. Please note, there may be a charge for delayed flights or missed departures.

Escorted travel on Eurostar

Camp Beaumont representatives travel to Paris Gare Du Nord every Saturday morning to escort children to camp. These campers are then accompanied back to Paris Gare Du Nord the following Saturday.

Out of hours arrivals

We’ve partnered with a trusted transport company to offer you an out of hours travel service. Please contact us for details. As this is not part of Camp Beaumont’s travel service, please be aware that your child is your responsibility during the journey and we are only ‘in loco parentis’ once they arrive at camp.
