Packing for Summer Camp

Camp is a good place for old well-worn clothes! Old clothes don't mind abseiling, caving, climbing and mountain biking. Please note all bedding is supplied.

What does everyone wear at camp?

Camp is no place to be worried about fashion! So casual wear is back in style at Camp Beaumont! Shorts, jeans and T-shirts are just fine with us. We strongly believe that people should not be judged by the clothes they wear. In attempting to be a place where everyone is accepted for who they are, we recommend Camp Beaumont T-shirts and baseball caps.

Clothing suggestions depend on length of stay, typically they include:

• Full Camp Kit (includes 5 Camp Beaumont t-shirts, cap and holdall)
• 2 pairs of jeans or trousers
• Track suit or similar
• 4 pairs of shorts
• 2 jumpers or sweatshirts
• Anorak or waterproof jacket
• Trainers
• Old shoes
• Socks
• Slippers
• Swimming things
• Change of clothes for the evening
• Fun clothes or costume for special event day
• 2 towels (one for washing and one for swimming)
• Wash Bag - soap, flannel, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, brush and a plastic bag
• Pillow case or Camp Beaumont holdall for dirty clothes.
• Sufficient underwear for just over one week

Horse Riding

The normal clothing list plus:

• riding boots or shoes (sturdy plain with small heel.No straps)
• Wellingtons are not recommended
• Jodhpurs or long trousers (not tight)

Motorsports

• 2 old pairs of trousers/jeans
• Suitable shoes
• Longsleeves

Watersports

• Old trainers/wet socks
• Swimming costume
