About Camp Beaumont

Camp Beaumont are experts in language and adventure holidays, with over 30 years’ experience. We grew up as a family business and are now part of the well-respected Education Travel Group.

We welcome over 250,000 children across the Group each year, with around 8,000 visiting Camp Beaumont to enjoy the friendly atmosphere, fun activities, cultural experience and language tuition on offer.

Popular with parents for our high safety standards and expert pastoral care, we’re also loved by children who enjoy an exciting adventure they’ll remember for the rest of their lives. Many campers return year after year – so we know we’re getting it right!

The benefits of summer camp have been widely researched, with studies showing that children build crucial life skills equipping them for years to come – such as responsibility, confidence, independence, tolerance and more.

We aim to make each camp a life-changing experience for our guests, giving them the chance to improve their language and learn more about English culture in a friendly environment where everyone can truly be themselves.

The CB Difference

In recent years there has been an explosion of activity holidays available for adults, families and unaccompanied children. Whilst there are similarities in some holiday options (ropes courses, sailing, canoeing, horse-riding etc) the emphasis is on the activities not on the child. This is never the case with us.

The Camp Beaumont ethos is still pretty unique in that we are looking at how the child benefits overall and it is just as much about what they take away from the whole 24/7 experience rather than just a few fun moments.

How will they benefit?

Campers will build memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Your child will interact with other campers twenty-four hours a day. They will make friends and build relationships with others in ways that they could not do in a school setting.

Increased confidence is the number one benefit that parents cite for sending their children to camp (according to most summer camps’ surveys) where children gain experience of living away from the family for a short space of time - and discovering that they can manage all sorts of things perfectly well for themselves.

Building Confidence

And that was our starting place when our English founders sent their children to a camp in America. They were so impressed with the positive change in them that they started Camp Beaumont in the UK 30 years ago.

Please read the peace of mind section if you are concerned. Many many children visiting us are traveling away from home for the first time but this was also once true of the many children who come back to Camp Beaumont year-after-year. We passionately believe that every child deserves to come to camp as part of their childhood.
