Camp Beaumont pioneered American-style summer camps in the UK – and Dukeshouse Wood offers the original adventure experience, enhanced by a multi-million pound investment programme to keep things bang up-to-date.
Set on a beautiful fellside in Hexham, in Northumberland, the camp sleeps 250 children, housed in en-suite dorms split according to age and gender. All food is cooked on the premises, with a choice of hot and cold food available. The centre boasts a new 8,000 sq ft all-weather activity barn, plus loads of exciting activities like outdoor laser, double 3G swing, Jacob’s ladder, with a fun-packed entertainment programme in the evenings as part of our Twilight Zone. The site is fully secure, with fencing, electronic security gates and CCTV around the camp.
Campers can choose to see the sights with a trip to the historic city of Edinburgh, take a tour of St James’ Park stadium, home of Newcastle FC, enjoy a spot of shopping at the UK’s second largest retail centre and more.
